Dr. Meghan Harmon
Dr. Meghan Harmon is board-certified in Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).
Originally from St. Peters, Missouri, Dr. Harmon attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri. She then completed a one-year rotating internship at North Carolina State University, followed by a three-year residency at Michigan State University before becoming board-certified in 2014. After her residency, Dr. Harmon returned to University of Missouri as a Clinical Instructor from 2014 to 2017. She is proud to have the unique perspective of practicing in both academia and private practice, the latter of which has led her to Seattle, Washington and most recently British Columbia, Canada. She is excited to move back to her roots in the Midwest and join the AESH team.
Dr. Harmon’s special interests include coagulation disturbances, management of polytrauma, electrolyte disturbances, neonatal critical care, and optimizing the level of care for hospitalized patients from all departments within the hospital. Outside of work, she can be found doing anything outdoors (hiking, kayaking, SUP), rock climbing, training for triathlons or other running events. She also enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, 2 large dogs (Newfoundland named Boone and Lab mix named Andy), and 2 Maine coon cats (David and Twyla).
