No, we do not schedule appointments. We see patients on a walk-in basis. However, please text "AEH" to "34947". This will alert our team that your pet needs care. If it is a life-saving emergency and your pet is in critical condition, please proceed to the hospital immediately. If your pet is stable, we ask that you wait at home until you are contacted by phone or text after completing the digital registration.
Call AESH immediately at (616) 537-1402. The veterinary technician will consult with the veterinarian to determine if your pet needs to be seen immediately. The veterinarian may advise you to call ASPCA Animal Poison Control at 1-888-426-4435. A consultation fee will be charged. You may also bring the pet straight to AESH.
The Emergency Exam and Consultation Fee is $150. An Exotic Pet Emergency Consultation is $165. Recommendations for care will be discussed with the veterinarian after the physical examination of your pet. Costs of care will be disclosed each step of the way.
Our normal policy is you are welcome to schedule a time to visit your pet depending on their condition and level of hospitalization. Current policy is on a case-by-case basis but limited due to exam room and space restrictions.

Yes. We have a veterinarian and a team of veterinary nurses on staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! We do not close for holidays.
Just like the human emergency room, we never know what to expect. We do our very best to ensure wait times are minimal, however, care is given in order of urgency. During peak times, please be prepared to experience a longer wait time. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
