Dr. Westerhof worked as an assistant in several day time vet practices since 2004 and at AEH since 2008. She went back to school as a non-traditional student part time at GRCC in 2006 to start a degree. Dr. Westerhof completed an Associate’s in Science at Grand Rapids Community College. She then pursued a Bachelor's degree at Grand Valley State University. She was accepted to Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduated and is now working at AEH again as a veterinarian! Dr. Westerhof has a passion for emergency medicine as demonstrated by working in emergency for 10 years! She has a home in Grand Rapids with her husband and pets, including 2 Chihuahuas named Maggie & Penny, a large grey old man cat named Joseph, and a young troublemaker tabby cat named George. Dr. Westerhof enjoys yoga, hiking, crocheting and movies in her free time!
