Dr. Simot is originally from Muskegon, Michigan and is incredibly excited to be back on the west side closer to family, friends, and all things West Michigan has to offer! She graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in biology with minors in chemistry and entrepreneurship prior to receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2024. Dr. Simot had known since a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian and finds her passion in helping humans by helping their animals. She eventually found her love for emergency medicine while working as an assistant at an emergency clinic during her undergraduate career and reinforced this passion during veterinary school while working in the emergency department at MSU. In her spare time, Dr. Simot loves hunting and fishing with her husband, hiking, camping, cooking, and spending time with those she loves the most. Dr. Simot was lucky enough to marry her high school sweetheart, Cameron. They have two cats (Nacho and Kiwi) and a Black Labrador Retriever (Archie) with hopes to add many more pet friends to the family in the future!
